Idea has launched the Aurus 2 dual-SIM smartphone, the company’s first Android 4.1 OS (Jelly Bean)-running device, for just Rs. 6,490. 

The Idea Aurus 2 smartphone has a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 320x480 pixels, has an internal memory of 4GB with 512 MB of RAM, sports a 3.2MP camera with digital zoom, along with a front-facing VGA camera, supports video calling and is powered by a 1 GHz processor.

Idea’s new dual-SIM Aurus 2 comes packed with a data usage offer for Idea 3G users. For a pack of Rs 261, Aurus 2 users can get 1.6GB of 3G data and Idea TV subscription free for the first 3 months. 

The new 3G smartphone from Idea is available at all major mobile retail stores and Idea outlets across the country.

The Idea 3G smartphones portfolio includes -
Idea Zeal: This dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 2.3.6, is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and comes with 256 MB of RAM. The smartphone sports a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 320x480 pixels and a 3MP auto-focus rear camera. It also comes with Wi-Fi capabilities for net access and A-GPS for Google Maps.

The Idea Zeal smartphone comes with built-in social media apps, such as Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, unlimited SMS/MMS and phone directory. It comes preloaded with Google, YouTube and Idea TV. Idea has priced this smartphone at Rs 5,390.

Idea Ivory: A dual-SIM smartphone, the Idea Ivory runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It is powered by a 1GHz processor, sports a 3.5-inch full-touch display and includes Wi-Fi capabilities for net access. It comes with A-GPS capabilities and packs in 4GB of internal memory.

The Idea Ivory comes with built-in social media apps - Android GMS standard application, Facebook, Twitter, IMAP, HTML, Music Video Player, documents to go, multi e-mail POP3. The phone is prced at Rs 7,390.

Idea Aurus: The Idea Aurus dual-SIM smartphone sports front and back cameras to facilitate video calling capabilities. It runs on Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread), is powered by an 800Mhz processor, comes with a 4GB microSD card included, wth memory expandable to 32GB, Cloud Backup, Social Networking apps and RSS feed support. Idea has priced this smartphone at Rs 7,190.

ID 918: This dual-SIM phone runs Android 2.3, sports a 3.2-inch capacitive multi-touch display, a 3.2MP camera, microSD support up to 32GB, geo-tagging, GPS Navigator software, FM radio and MP3 Player, WiFi, Bluetooth. The phone comes with social media apps, such as Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, and pre-loaded Google and YouTube, besides a range of other high-end smartphone features and Idea TV. The ID 918 is priced at Rs 5,994.

Idea Blade: The smartphone runs Android 2.2, sports a 3.5-inch full-touchscreen, a 3.2 MP camera, includes G Sensor, Wi-Fi and GPS. Idea prices this smartphone at Rs 7,992.
